Lukka Chuppi : My Review

Pros :
Great Performances
Natural and well written dialogues
Good Direction

Cons :
Screenplay towards the end could have been better

Lukka Chuppi is an honest and blunt take on relationships and it tells the story of a group of friends who meet at a reunion party after 14 years. Their lives have changed and as they interact and talk, they realize many secrets and feelings, they had and have, about each other.
The well written dialogues and dialogue deliveries are unique factors of this movie. All characters are well written and their dialogue deliveries are awesome and feels natural. The cast which includes Jayasurya, Murali Gopi, Joju George, Dinesh Prabhakar, Muthumani, Asmita Sood and Ramya Nambeesan played their parts very well and their performances are very natural.
Bash Mohammad's direction is top notch and the movie makes for a good watch. The story is good even though the culmination could have been better. Music by Bijibal is functional and goes well with the mood of the film.
Lukka Chuppi is a good watch and the movie is unique for the well written dialogues which are very natural.

Life : My Review

Pros :
Calvin - The alien entity
Fantastic Direction
Cinematography

Cons:
A bit too gory at places

Life is Sci-Fi Horror Thriller which tells the fascinating but terrifying story of  how a space mission goes awry after an alien species develops inside International Space Station from a Martian soil sample.
Jake Gyllenhaal and Rebecca Ferguson are excellent in their roles. Ryan Reynolds has less screen time but he does his role well. The abominable alien entity is named Calvin and it is very well etched and presented in the movie. Calvin is truly menacing and it is depicted as an alien species having cells which are muscular, nervous and photoreceptive at the same time.
Daniel Espinosa has directed this movie very well and his taut direction makes the movie a completely engaging watch. Cinematography by Seamus Mcgarvey is just terrific and his camerawork is a definite highlight of the movie. Music by Jon Ekstrand goes well with the mood of the film.
This is a unique film with an alien predator on the loose in space and the making of the movie is what makes it a stupendous watch. The viewing experience is great and having said that I have to add that the movie does get a bit gory at places. Life is a must watch for "Calvin" and Daniel Espinosa's direction.

Split : My Review

Pros :
James McAvoy's exquisite portrayal of Kevin
M.Night Shyamalan's taut direction
The ambience of the Movie
The Climax scene

Cons :
A loose end in the script which may influence the ending.
Watch Out for a couple of gory scenes.

Dissociative Identity Disorder. A Person with 23 distinct personalities. M.Night Shyamalan at the helm. SPLIT stars James McAvoy in the lead and he plays Kevin, a person suffering from Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID) who abducts 3 teen girls for a mysterious reason. When you watch James McAvoy play the role of Kevin/Dennis/Patricia/Hedwig/Jade/Barry, you realize that the movie has something incredible in store for you. M. Night Shyamalan has written the script of SPLIT giving each character the required detailing and his exquisite direction makes it engrossing from start till the very end.
James McAvoy delivers a scintillating performance as Kevin and captivates the viewers throughout the movie, especially during the scenes where the multiple personalities emerge, one after the other. Anya Taylor Joy does total justice to her role as Casie Cook and Betty Buckley portrays Dr. Karen Fletcher with ease. The Cinematography by Mike Gioulakis is a major highlight of the movie and his terrific camerawork makes the movie, a totally engaging affair.
SPLIT is undoubtedly a genuine movie which explores the dark side of multiple personality disorders and this movie will definitely be remembered for James McAvoy's unparalleled performance. This movie is a must watch for all movie lovers and is one of the best movies from the director M. Night Shyamalan till date.
