Movie : Parava
Year : 2017
Language : Malayalam
Pros :
Terrific Direction
Fantastic Art Direction
Good Performances
Excellent Cinematography😘
Good Soundtrack
Cons :
Shallow Screenplay
Mundane Climax
Verdict : "Realistic" is a better tag for Parava than "Feel Good" . The movie which starts off as a feel good entertainer turns into a realistic drama, halfway through.
Soubin Shahir has done a terrific job as a director. Screenplay by Soubin Shahir and Muneer Ali is average but the good narration and wonderful art direction by Ajayan Chalissery makes up for that. Littil Swayamp's frames are exquisite and his shots are a major plus point of Parava. The scenes featuring the pigeons are so endearing and well shot. Music by Rex Vijayan is good and goes with the mood of the movie.
Amal shah and Govind V Pai have done a tremendous job as Irshad and Haseeb respectively. Dulquer Salmaan is good in his extended cameo as Imran. Shane Nigam does a fine job while Soubin Shahir and Sreenath Bhasi surprises with their roles and performances. The supporting cast have also done their job very well. The Climax is a bit of a letdown when we consider the fresh premise on which the story is narrated. On the whole, Parava is a good one time watch for its fantastic making, cinematography and performances.
