Can question marks wreak havoc? Yes, they have the power to destroy lives. Sanjay Dutt's biopic "Sanju" directed by Rajkumar Hirani has hit the screens this friday.
Sanju is an intense film. Abhijat Joshi did a great job in penning an engaging screenplay for the eventful life story of Sanjay Dutt. The plot starts off with Sanjay Dutt's early life - his drug addiction, love and friendship after which it focuses on his bonding with father Sunil Dutt, his conviction in the arms case and his fight against rumours.
The best thing about the movie is that it pulls you in like a magnet. Rajkumar Hirani never ceases to amaze. His movies leave an impact on the audience in one aspect or the other. In Sanju, apart from the captivating storyline and brilliant narration, spectacular performances from the cast are something which weaves magic on screen. From a scintillating Ranbir Kapoor to a subtle Manisha Koirala, every cast member did a tremendous job in making this movie an intense cinematic adventure.
Ravi Varman's cinematography is good and the music by Vikram Montrose, A. R. Rahman and Rohan are functional. Kar Har Maidaan stands out - what a terrific composition !
Ranbir Kapoor is back and how ! A good director can create wonders. A terrific portrayal of Sanju Baba !
Watch it or not?
Sanju is a must watch as it is a complete movie and a well made biopic. Rajkumar Hirani movies have always been a treat to watch and Sanju is no exception. The movie with its engaging narrative and powerful performances, will be a treat for everyone.
My Rating : 4.5/5
